For over 20 years, The Upper Crust has been baking up delicious pies for the community. The shop got its start at the Overland Park Farmers Market and eventually moved to a brick-and-mortar location on Santa Fe Drive. Years ago, Kellie Kiser and Lisa Suderman each began working at The Upper Crust, an iconic pie shop located in downtown Overland Park, Kansas. They became quick friends, and after several years in the pie business, they were thrilled to purchase the shop when given the chance. Since 2024, Lisa and Kellie have been protecting the mission of making pie “as good as grandma’s” and upholding The Upper Crust’s tremendous standards.
The Upper Crust primarily serves scratch-baked pies of all types—their offerings include classic fruit pies, custard and merengue pies, as well as every type in between. The owner favorites include the classic coconut cream pie and chocolate cream pie. They also offer cookies and quiche! The in-store selection changes daily, with the option to pre-order in advance. For those that would love to try a variety but in smaller servings, The Upper Crust offers pie flights on the third Friday of most months—be sure to call a few days ahead of time to pre-order!
